I DIYed these for under $2.50 USD each

Simply took white porcelain teacups of suitable size and weight (I liked the white in my system - get your own color and design), filled them with sand or kitty litter in plast bag, epoxied a similar color porcelain ramekin on the bottom, epoxied a similar color porcelain chopstick holder on the top. Then cut a circle of neoprene rubber for the bottom and glopped white silicone (pure) on top of the chopstick rest. I ended up with a neat looking, well functioning set of all white porcelain cable risers suited to my taste.

Al Sekela uses an even simpler device in his setup: card stock tube filled with kitty litter and wrapped in teflon plumbing tape. His work real well too. And his is really just a variant on one of the oldest designs for these: inverted toilet paper rolls!

There are so many easy and cheap ways to make cable risers that it's foolish to spend on the high priced spread....
