This weekend I'll be starting a new CD/DVD power cord project using the following: Furutech FI-11M (Cu), Furutech FI-11 (Ag), Furutech FP-314Ag bulk Power Cable (15AWG Silver Plated and Shielded). I'll be treating the bare wires with Quicksilver Contact Enhancer, and using a "Disk" of ERS cloth around each end of the cord (enclosed in the head shells). Shield and Ground will be tied together at the Male ground, but not tied together at the IEC end. Is their anything I'm missing here or any other suggestions? In addition to this, I'm replacing my ACME silver AC Plug with a Cryoed Oyaide SWO-XXX.
After that I'm just waiting for Chris to receive some of his Oyaide Tunami bulk power cable so that I can build a similar cable for my AMP (currently Classe 10, soon to be Bel Canto Evo6 II). The question here would be rather to use the Furutech FI-11M (Cu), Furutech FI-11 (G) combination or spend a considerably more money using come combination of the Oyaide AC Connectors?
