Probably, but I believe it's the density of the material that absorbs the frequencies. Therefore, I was under the impression that foam with a 10-12" density would certainly do the trick. Jon's design uses batting which is wound to achieve this same density. However, as I've been reading through a few things this morning, I think I may use the foam as a core, and wrap it in the fiberlass batting.
