I am currently using LM1875 power op-amps as the output stage for a multiphase oscillator used as a turntable motor power supply. The oscillator itself gives me -115dB distortion but the output stage brings it up to -97 dB. That's still OK but I wonder if I can do better. The margin isn't of enough concern to be bothered making 3 separate discrete amplifiers for the outputs.
Anyone got any recommendations for a power op-amp which will significantly outperform the LM1875? I know the LM3875 is used in the gainclone so I was thinking of trying that, but it seems like overkill to use a 56 watt device when I need 3 watts.
