I've been using cap arrays in my power strips, AC filters, and in parallel in various AC circuitry. I find that they work great. I'm not using specifically name brand caps, either, but the voltage rating has to be high enough and the big ones are X-rated.Given that there is potential danger involved, I won't specifically recommend anything; I'm not an EE or electrician! Don't even attempt such things without good responsible guidance from those who are competent professionally to give you such advice.
Just to let you know that IME there are several productive implementations of caps in AC that improve sonics without degradation. YMMV.
I have not done the classic Auricap tweak inside componentry, but look forward to some variation of that someday.
