In Reply to: Would someone suggest a generic switch to mount 3-5 resistors for a variable x-over low pass in a Sub? Velodyne ULD-15 posted by Carl G on November 28, 2005 at 00:08:19:
I bought a couple components (tubes, switches and the like) from Triode Electronics, a forum sponsor. Check them out at http://www.triodeelectronics.com/ (no affiliation). The key is to find a "make before break" or "shorting" switch. They've got 'em (check under Miscellany). Since you're working with a sub I assume you only need 1 pole, so any 1 pole or greater switch will work (2 pole, 4 pole, etc). For other components (resistors, etc) check Digikey. They've got everything (except shorting switches).
