Nope, i do no have the schematics.Regards how i decided upon 3.9uF...
(1) to have the filter point between 1-2 Hz (based on my SS Amp Input-Impedence is 22kOhm). Though the original 2.0uF would have put the filter point low enough in the audible range, i think there is benefits given that the roll-off starts earlier, and then the sub-sonic is something that can felt rather than heard.
(2) size of the cap (to go larger would be problematic to fit it in the existing space)
(3) basically it all boils down to trial (and i did hope to have a better bottom-end in my system).
Well, i am not expert, but after reading and asking around many forums and friends, i decided to dare to try.Regards the question in my original post, am wondering if anything more can be done, for example to beef up those 120uF/450V & 120uF/250V Mains and those 20V, 12.6V & 5V Supply caps ? Or simply to change to better quality caps ?
I have modified several CD and DVD players' dsupply caps and aware that this can lead to big improvement, so i suspect all the more will apply to pre-amp.
Do share you thougths/comments/advice, agree or disagree is fine with me. Objective is always to learn and grow in my passion and love for beautiful music.Cheers,
