By bypass, do you mean placing another cap in parallel with the existing power supply cap, thereby increasing the total capacitance value; as you say by about 10%.I agree ESR is reduced with your suggested bypass cap. With BG's, they don't have a high ESR to begin with; certainly less than standard electolytics. I think I may just try both tweaks and see which one works better. ie less AC ripple, or sonic differences. Thanks.
