Ordered a couple of the Furutech FI-10 IEC inlets they offer. These have gone through 2 cryo treatments and have been demagnetized. Body is made of Teflon.
Installation took all of 20 minutes in my case.
Wasn't expecting much after what I and others have experienced with the Oyaide outlets and Male AC plugs.
Installed the IEC inlet on my Pass Labs Aleph 3 amp and right off the bat it was another realization that it's the small items that when combined form a synergy that just let's the music flow in a more natural way.
Highs are cleaner and are more focused in space. Bass sounded lighter at first but then I realized it was more articulate. The most dramatic improvement was in the upper bass/lower mids. Much more
rhythemically(sp) focused if you will.
It is childs play for instance to follow the rhythem guitar in the left channel on Steely Dan's "Black Cow". It just flows so much more naturally that you cease to have to focus on it. It is delivered with precision and weight intact.
This is only the first few hours! I can only imagine what will be manifest in the next few weeks.
Again my hat is off to Lee at Cryo Parts for doing the research and then delivering products that allows us to take steps closer to the gestalt of the music.
