Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

I am starting a project in my basement to Add Cabinets along 20 feet of wall. This will house all of my Audio Gear and LCD TV and DVD player etc.
I am also planning on adding dedicated electrical circuits, since the wall will be open and access easy. Not that I'll actually hear any difference, but I'll 'feel' better about it!I was thinking that I'd add a dedicated circuit for the:
1.) SET Monoblocks and Subwoofer
2.) A dedicated circuit for the Source Components (CD, Tuner) and Pre-amp.
3.) And another for the TV, DVD player and HD Tuner.
Then I started thinking about potential ground loops (It seems I always have a ground loop between the HD Tuner and the Pre-amp of my Audio System - never could get rid of this one!)
So the question. What is the ideal dedicated circuit layout for what I am doing? How many separate circuits should I have and what should I plug into them? And what amp circuit breakers and gauge wiring should I use?
