It will be the same or a very similar material.The density of this material is likely to be much lower - it's just meant to act as a capture site for nutrients in hydroponic fertilisers so that plant roots can access them. Insulation rockwool is likely to be more dense and density is important for sound absorption, especially at low frequencies.
