Unles the R-30 has more actual weight or volume of fiberglass per package, there would be no advantage.With the rolls of fiberglass, if you look at how many feet they have in there, the different R values all come out to be the same amount of fiberglass, but the thinner types have more feet of it. I suspect that something similar is going on with these.
