Re: At what point do you give up on a project?

Hi there,What can one say?I havn't yet spent the kind of money that it takes to build something from scratch with exotic parts, carefull planning and design layout etc.just to find the damn thing didn't work.We are a family living in England with 3 kids.We lost no3 in 2003 and it threw a dark cloud over us.My missus went 9 months and 8 days pregnant, the midwife came the day before and said everything was fine,"This baby doesn't want to come",she said with a smile. The following evening my missus was rushed to hospital and after a C section, our boy was born dead.We struggled for 6 months, and because she couldn't face starting a job, with our other 2 children at school full time, plus the fact she wanted to be feeding a baby, change nappies, nurture and do all the things she should have been doing,we decided baby number 4 should come early. Now we have a happy boy at 13 months old, after a scary pregnancy where we argued continuously because we both feared the worst again, and now,we are dealing with our loss and trying to mend our family. We have had no help from our families, because of the type of people they are, they only seem to care about themselves.I work part time and we get help from the state. So we are pretty poor as it goes.
Anything in life can be a bitch and piss us off,but as humans we try to carry on,regardless of loss of child,or a project that won't work.I have come to the conclusion that some things aren't meant to be.Be it a life or something which we try to create. You may think that a baby is no comparison to that of a circuit but both have or effort put in,regardless of what they are.Our creation of our beutiful son means life aint all that bad no matter what the cost.
Maybe at this point,I can say,"Don't give up."
Sorry if that was heavey. Please take this as a gentle push. Not a lecture.Listen to some more music, think of a new project. What else can you create?

Kind Regards

Happy Listening.Mikee 55
