Without doubt the best sonic resisters are Vishay.Expensive and not easy to get in high wattage.I have spent 20 odd years testing/listening to most variations of Metal Film/Bulk foils/ etal..Caddock and then Holcos are a good alternative.The latter have slightly higher Inductance and capacitence than the near perfect Vishays.They also have to be carefully formed as the usual copper leads if bent to much can cause fractures in the coating.
