Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
Hi guys,I recently came into a Roksan Kandy CDP and the first 'tweak' I did was to remove the stock feet and put it on Michell cones. While adjusting the cones (3) the unit tipped a little causing the chassis to bang against the shelf.
Since then the CDP has been refusing to read track 1 on certain CDs (80% of the time it works) - it either refuses to read them or it does so with huge errors or, more commonly, it rapidly skips forward, about 30 seconds at a time.
I presume the lens mechanism was knocked out of alignment and I'd like some tips on how to fix it. I'm a friend of the soldering iron so feel free to get a little technical if need be.
