Hi..I have recently been upgrading the poor components in the Denon 3910 to various blackgates/hexfreds etc and have initially only used direct replacement values in the switched mode power supply as they were easy to get hold of...I now want 5 caps for which black gates dont make the correct values.Normally I would use higher capacitance but I have read the attached link which covers a number of issues re switched mode power supplies clearly indicating a possibility of instability which I am not in a position to measure......The 5 are 3 x 150mf (35v) and two at 330mf 6,3V which I would like to use N or Nx as I find these better..
Anybody got any suggestions...space is not to much of a problem and I have considered paralleling 100 plus 47 to get the 150 value 220plus 100 for the 330...thanks in advance ..Dave
