Where to place switch/relays in Dac?

I'm preparing to assemble a tda1541 Dac that uses CS8412 as digital input receiver with BNC input. I also want to add a USB input interface using a pcm2706 IC to accomplish this. Both the CS8412 and pcm2706 DIR's can feed I2S to the tda1541 dac. I've been advised that the cs8412 must be de-powered when using the usb through pcm2706. Hence, I need a switch or relay for this purpose. Additionally, I *think* I need a second switch or relay between the digital receivers and the dac chip (to route I2S signal). I am a beginner DIY'r and have a few Qs for the experts:

1. Do I need two switches, and have I placed them in the chain correctly?

2. Will a switch or relay result in a cleaner signal path? SKU recommendation please :)

3. If I used relay(s), could a single switch on chassis control both relays?

Thanks, in advance, for your input.
