I have modified the J/III in the past. It is the same tweeter and woofer used in the E/III. Vifa tweeter model D26TG-05-06.The cap values in the tweeter section were 6.4uf. NP caps bypassed with mylar cap. The master xo according to Snell was set at 6.75uf for the tweeter section.
I used the Theta caps in the tweeter. Overkill imo for the cost of the $20 Vifa. It was a great learning experience for me, even if the cost was high. Another option for mods would be to bypass the L-pad with mills resistors. Hope this helps.
