Hookup wire for Swenson Mod

I am assembling parts for a Samsung HD-841 (a.k.a. Toshiba SD-4960) Mod. I need approx. 15' of hookup wire to do the Swenson mod. As I have these already:
1. Is Teflon CAT5 OK to use in this application?
2. How about 20AWG Silver Plated stranded Teflon coated Wire? Is it too large a gauge?
[Nevertheless if anyone has 26, 28 or preferably 30AWG Silver Plated Teflon coated Wire laying around (or any other decent quality hookup wire for that matter) and wants to part with it please e-mail me.]
