Cooling down..

Dear Inmates,

In my amp I replaced a E188CC with a 5687. These tubes get
so hot however that the nearby caps and resistors suffer. The caps get close to 90 degrees celcius.. not good.

I consider the use of Pearl tube coolers to cool down the environment around the tube. Will this work or will the copper ribs radiate just as much heat as the tube itself.

Any other suggestions for this problem (besides changing the complete layout)? I have not too much (maybe one inch) of space around the tubes.

Thanks!

NC
