Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
At the risk of offending every audiophile out here, I've experimented with some setups using my generally mass market equipment, and found a great sound with the following:Sony STRD-525 receiver
Technics- 110 disc CD changer
Polk RT5 speakers- on A line
NHT Superones - on B line
Bose bass module that came with the acoustimas 5 system
Mix of Monster speaker cable, and the cable that came with the bose. What I'm getting is superb clarity from the combination of RT5's with the passive bose bass module. Their is clean punch in the bass; female vocals are very "present" and the separation is just wonderful.
My questions are: do I deserve this kind of sound from this type of setup? and are there any tweaks anyone can advise to obtain even better sound from this?
Thanks all
Mike
