I haven't had any problems soldering to them, using my weller digital station. They're elegant in that the metal is entirely removed from the housing before soldering, so you don't have to worry about melting plastic or whatever. Of course, the big posts are heavy, and take a lot of total heat (the ones for speaker cabs)
