Hi David, it sounds like you built something very effective. At the end of the day we just want results. The more I listen to the bass response in my system after the addition of the platforms, the more I am pleased. There is a definite improvement in quality of bass as well as the obvious benefit of isolation from the floor.I also think that, as you said, having the sub firing down on carpet hurts the performance of these downfiring subs.
