Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
I've just completed my fisrt DIY speaker and am getting too much tweeter. I have a 4 dB difference in sensitivity between the woofer and tweeter so I'm not surprised. The question is this: I've heard about tweeter padding and need to know how much resistor I need to get the tweeter down to where I want it. My understanding is that a resistor is wired in series with the tweeter. Could use some advice. FYI it's a dayton euro series 1" tweeter and a dayton reference series 6" woofer in a vented box. Thanks for reading CB.

- 50 or 100 ohms pot would be realistic. It must be wirewound. NT - clifff 10:26:12 03/01/05 (0)
