YOur ear/brain combo varies more than rooms do. I'm a psychoacoustic fan and I do room treatments. I grok the theories, as I learned them in HS and university, so not a flame or dispute there.However, once the sound reaches your outer ear all bets are off for your purely mathematical approach. We all physically hear slightly differently, with male hearing loss being a major factor after age 20. Plus our brains process slightly differently and learn to do so - it ain't a static ability at all! Add to that musical tastes that differ and sound preferences that differ.
If you get my drift, you can adjust the room by ear and you should adjust the room by ear. It's the math that may be a starting point, but it cannot realistically be the endpoint...
