The 300b should not glow orange at all. Sounds like something is wrong with your amp. When I bias my amp all i do is put the tubes in, turn the amp on and set the bias to 70ma, then let the amp warm up for 30min and recheck it. It is very simple. Its possible he tubes you have are no good. What amp are you using??
