Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

Just wanted to give an update on my ground loop problem after switching to satellite, which caused a very distracting buzz. I spent hours looking for an isolator to go inline on the satellite coaxial cable until I talked to Jensen Transformer and Larry explained that the reason the few isolators out there didn't work was due to the fact it blocked the DC power the dish needed to work.
Without going to a lot of hassle of bridging the house and sat ground
larry gave me the idea of a line level isolator. In comes Xitel. I didn't hold out much hopes for this, but at $34 dollars what the heck. I was very surprised to find out that it totally eliminated all the hum in my tube/tube-hybrid audio system, but that it did so without sacrificing any quality in playback. Excellent product..
