The cap you refer to is there to block DC at the output. Any DC at the output will be multiplied by a factor of 10 or more by your preamp, and that by another factor of 10 by your power amp. This could severly damage or burn out your speakers. Replace the electrolytic caps with hi-quality film caps of at least 10 uF. The best sounding cap is no cap at all. An output servo in place of the blocking caps would give you the best sonics.Happy Listening !
