PRP, Inc. is located in Mediapolis, Iowa according to their website, http://www.prpinc.com.I used them when I refitted my pre-amp (NOS Caddocks in the signal path; NOS Holcos & PRPs in non-signal applications. Got them through Percy.
Overall, the sound is very good, but I can't directly give you a sonic characterization for the PRP.
I'm also not aware of other British resistors.
