Spades Plugs and Problems, ideas please.

I have just got some new speaker cables, since you ask... KImber BiFocal XL.
They have spades on and here lies the problem.
The mm plate that I tighten the spade against seems slightly small and the copper part of the WBT spade slides out and only contacts with the edge of the plate.
I have swapped for the time being to WBT plugs but would prefer to use the spades.
Any great ideas for how to?
I am a bit stumped....
