There may be a small interaction,

or even a large one! As I understand it, the Richard Gray unit is a shunt inductor. It requires the power circuit to deliver current that is out of phase with the voltage, so there is some current flowing when the AC voltage crosses zero. I don't know if this is the stated reason why it works, but it seems to me that this would help some power circuits with less-than-perfect upstream connections in them. Your apartment may be a good candidate for one. Did you notice improvement in the plasma TV performance with it? Also, have you replaced the outlet fixtures?

If you place another conditioner on the same circuit, then it may benefit from the Richard Gray unit's action. I don't think using them together would harm anything unless they were physically placed close together and the magnetic fields were able to interact.

Please let us know how these work out. It would be good to know if the Richard Gray unit makes the sound better with the Shunyata unit in place.
