Been playing around with a SX-1250 gotten off ebay a while back. I've forgotten what was wrong with it but found that at least one of the Tape Monitor Switch has bad connectivity. As it's Sound cuts in and out. Placing a Jumper whire to by pass it made the problem go away. Perhaps it's time to get Deoxit. Still another problem is that the left channel output Transistor on the same circuit board has a -0.3V DC. The right-channel is 0.00V DC exactly and it sounded better than the Left-Channel. From schmatic the collector output of this PNP Transistor is connected to resistors in series with capacitors to gnd and branched to a -25V DC source. Not experience enough with Transistor circuit analysis, I ask anyone to take a wild guess as to the problem of the -0.3V DC output and explain whether is related to the poorer sound quality. Could the resistors value change or caps values gone bad. Thank You In Advance!
