Silver is very difficult to refine past 99.99%. Some sources can do 99.999%, at a significantly raised cost. I'd be wary of anyone touting 6 nines (99.9999%) or higher. Anyone claiming 99.9999999% is blowing smoke up your tailpipe.I just don't get this nines obsession thing. It's like the spec wars of the 70s where people were chasing after stuff with the lowest distortion specs, etc.
What's that? This amp has 0.0000001% distortion but that amp has 0.00000001% distortion? Oh, I definitely want that amp! :)
