Re: Jon Risch Projects

Hi Jon,
First of all, thanx for being so kind to reply. & let me take this opportunity to congratulate u, u are the most famous & respected advisor on the internet for ANYTHING whatsoever, related to audio. People just go by ur suggestions, which i think is a wise thing to do, for the tremendous knowledge u have.
Regarding the 89259 IC, i just wanted to try it so i got down the wire & soldered some (not so good) Daiyo pins, which are the only better quality RC pins available here in India. The IC performs very well but not in par with my VanDenHul 'The Second'. But i understand that we must also take the price factor into consideration. I had made the stock design, & not the twisted one. & also i have'nt shielded it ( Must I ????).
The basstraps are outstanding...thanx for the superb recipe, or else who could afford such huge numbers from ASC.
As for my transport, i have tried everything from a bicycle tube, to spikes, to air-pillow, to squash-balls, to vibrapods, to roller-bearings. The best of the lot were roller-bearings.
For my Amp ( Jolida ), the sand-tray proved the most effective. & for my DAC, the Vibrapods. Any better suggestions???
I have suspended all my power-cords( Belden 19364) & interconnect & speaker cables on paper cups. This gives me a good reduction in the noise-floor & also better spacing between instruments.
And one more thing,.....pls tell me which is the best way to position a subwoofer in my room ( not for home-theatre) for serious audio listening.
Thanx once again
Junaid
