I live in NYC, made my own shorting plugs by taking super cheap Rat Shack RCAs (the plastic ones, which, don't laugh, have been used by some folks to make good sounding DIY interconnects.) It's so easy to solder the metal together inside to short them. Can't solder? Email me, I'll give ya a pair if you are willing to pick them up from me in the city.
