Townshend 3d Seismic Sink versus Passive Vibraplane -- Thoughts? Experiences?

I'm wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to compare these platforms or can speak on these platforms individually. I'm only interested in experiences or thoughts on the newer Townshend 3D Seismic Sink and the Vibraplane (I'm not personally interested in DIY versions made from used water bottles, chestnuts and chewing gum.). The model I would need of the Townshend, the 3D HD (heavy duty), retails for $900 (it cost just $600 a couple of years ago!) while the Vibraplane retails for about $1600 (same as a couple of years ago!). I need the version made for turntables as opposed to the Kinetic Systems large ones that are used in the science lab.
