Talk to Ilya... he's the guy in charge of orders...remember, this goes on top of the amp, it isn't a base... the idea of using 4 squares of it as a base is interesting though. haven't tried it on pre-amps or transports, dacs, only on my amp...
point #2... it probably counts to have a open, well revealing system... the tweaked up Evo4 is as detailed as my VAC PA90s in triode configuration without the tube roll off, it has a nice stratosphere
point #3... if your case is already doped up with anti resonance layers, putties, stuff like that you might not have as much free energy to work with. I now use outright vibration control more sparingly than before, Dynamat Xtreme under the transformer and places where 120v a.c. internal wires might touch the steel case
point #4... obviously, don't block air holes
point #5... often there are more than one design "chokepoints" where a compromise prevents music from happening. Depending on innumerable factors, treating your rectifiers, other parts with Musicoat MAY be a more critical chokepoint BEFORE you will hear the graphite plate to its best advantage, or possibly something else.... these things are individual to each circuit, environment, etc... your A.C. receptacles could have an important bearing.... for my system, the plate was a later choice after other known things were refined...
