A case nibbler from radio Shack is about $10 and is almost like a tin snip, it is powerful and cuts out a little piece of sheet metal, so you can enlarge the current hole in your player chassis to a size large enough to fit an IEC socket. Then you can plug your new power cord with an IEC plug into the new socket.
