I've got a filtered Corcom IEC connector (Model# PS0SODS6A)and I was wondering if it would be good to use on a Phono Preamp I'm building up. It has a couple .66mH inductors, 2 x 047uF caps and 3.3Mohm resistor in a funky network on the input. Here's what their website says:
"General purpose applications where line-to-ground and line-to-line noise must be controlled. These filters allow compliance with FCC limits for linear power supplies. They are available with current ratings of 3, 6 and 10 amps."Does this sort of thing destroy dynamics in a preamp or will it's noise filtering do a phono stage good?
Any advise would be helpful. I am also thinking of just getting a nice Furutech gold plated one, but I have this one sitting around.
