I want to make some room lens clones tonight. I've found almost all of the info I need, but couldn't answer this question with a search:
How much space is needed between the bottom of the pipes and the floor (which is a fairly thick carpet)?
I imagine there's a minimum bottom clearance before the pipe bottoms effectively become plugged. I would like to keep them as close to the floor as possible without compromising the performance.
My question is based on my understanding that the tops of the tubes are open, and the bottoms are closed off only by a fine mesh screen. I'm also aware of the various amounts/location of poly batting inside each pipe.
