You should if you don't have GFCI in your kitchen.

The current code that demands GFCI in all kitchen and bath outlets wasn't instituted without good reason; it was to address the number of idiots who fried themselves by touching electical equipment with one hand and water faucets with the other. Safety standards are seldom initiated by any industry until after a few hundred people have died from terminal stupidity.
