Maggie 1.6 Crossover with Schematic Visible !

209.122.185.222

Way down below is the schematic - dotted lines are the jumpers

HF panel
10 mfd Solen PA MKP FC ? % 250v
6.8 mfd Solen PA MKP FC ? % 250v
5.1 mfd Solen PA MKP FC ? % 250v
0,1 mfd Electrocube 410D1B104K 10% 100v
This group conected together lead twisted on lead

LF Panel
25 mfd Electrocube 230B1B256K 10% 100v
Inductor looks like a Madisound Sledgehammer square coil with laminated steel core

Connecting Wire (multistrand) diameter looks about 1.2 mm
Components fastened to mdf board with nylon cable straps
Connections all made to solder tabs which are riveted to mdf
Banana sockets look sub Rat Shack quality
Fuse Holder looks extremely cheap with riveted connections
Connections on driver Panels - male tab (tinned) abt 3.5 mm
Connector on wire to panels - female tab gripper (tinned)

Components splattered with black spray paint !

It is a revelation that such sweet sounds comes from these bits.

Food for thought
1.Replace caps with Hoveland or others
2.have a pcb made to mount the caps (copper traces better than connecting wire ?)
3.Install 4 decent terminals per speaker, Vampire, Cardas etc
4. Eliminate fuse
5. Probably not a good idea to change the material of the gripper as different metal
corrosion might result

6. Forget the crossover and bi-amp with active crossover feeding power amps!
