McIntosh Labs makes a coax cable isolator, model R650, for $40. that works much better than the homemade matching transformers back-to-back. I tried the Radio Shack fix and believe me, the McIntosh unit causes much less signal loss - no noticeable degradation in picture quality, and the hum is gone.Eric
