There are many ways to make a speaker stand , each one require some work ,manual ability and money . A very basic one is to buy concrete blocks , they are heavy , and put each one over the other until you have the desire height ( 30" - 36" with minimonitors ). The one with plywood is a good project too . I f you have someone with a soldering machine , you can buy a metal tube 20' by 3" in diameter or 3" by 3" and make 8 pieces of 29"-30" . Them , find 2 top and 2 base plates and get it solded . Drill the central point of each 30" pieces so you can filled with sand . At 3/4" of each botton base corner drill 1/4" holes for spikes. Use a granite like paint and you are ready to rock .ooooooooo
