I did mods to a denon some years back. I can't recall the model however. Now that I think of it I did two! One was an 8xx, the other a 4xx. I did the usual things which were power supply filters and every decoupling cap in it. Then, new output op-amps. Most was the adding of thousands of uF's all over the pcb. They worked good for the times. Now, I'm of the mind that we're doing it better right out of the box, so I start with brand new machines. Even today however, they still short change the power supplies.
