Kitchen bench manufacturers have off cuts of marble granite and slate very cheap.
Slate is best as It is not resonant, but you can treat the oters with an auto sound deadener to the underside.
OR and best....
Use an MDF shelf with cones/spikes to a stone top shelf, now you have an extra level of isolation and a good looking top shelf.There are a lot of other threads about similar questions in the archives. Email me if I can help at all.
