I am aware of all the different alignments and of recommended minimum port diameters for a given cone area, but can the diameter be too big? I guess the extreme end of the spectrum would get you something like a transmission line, but I have not seen anything in Dickason's Cookbook or anywhere else about this. Would too large an opening start pipe resonances inside the box? Would some other loss affect the response?
