Based on "roberts" post, I decided to try the pen tweak. I understand the logic of it, but have been skeptical, primarily because of the nay-sayers' opinions. So anyway, I took one of my less precious CDs (don't remeber which one right now) and used a red Marks-a-lot on both the inside and outside edges. Probably due to the two glasses of wine I had prior to applying pen to plastic, I slipped while doing the outside edge and ran a red line across the "play" side of the disc, from the outside edge to about the middle of the "play" portion of the disc. I thought, "Oh, shit! I just trashed my disc!" I tried to wipe it off, but, of course, it dried instantly. So I thought, "What the hell. I'll play it and see what happens." Well guess what! Not only did the edge treatment not make any noticeable difference, but the disc never skipped a note, hesitated, hung up or any other bad thing. It played right through the portion where the line was like it wasn't even there (I played the entire disc because I don't know whether a CD plays from the inside out or outside in. The mark crossed about half of the "burned" portion of the disc). So what does this mean?
