Yes sand is an option.
You fill some freezer bags with enough sand to allow you to make a flat sort of brick. You can push most of the air out, but need to suck the last bit as you seal the last bit of the bag. A straw is good!
Oh, measure the amount of sand and put the same in each bag. Make at least 5 bags.
Seal them carefully!
Place two bags next to each other on a shelf and rest your CDP on it.
Bugger my memory.....remove the feet and tape/blutak over any screws for obvious reasons.
Put 2 more bags on top of the player next to each other.
Now put a round spirit level on the open drawer and level it by moving the fifth bag around on top.
The sand converts vibration to heat through friction. There is a name for the process which I know someone will post.......
This is not the best looking tweak, but hey what do you expect for the couple of dollars involved!!
Sound should change very noticably.
