But I suggest you use strong plastic bags with the sand (it'll leak out of socks). But you use these sandbags on top of all your components. Most effective on top of your cd-palyer, and beware of amp.s that don't block air-ventilation holes needed for cooling. Some guys use it on top of their cables too. This is experimentation territory though. You can use it above AND below your components, the previous stated proviso stands.
